Eugene D. Satrap | Obituary | SATRAP, Eugene D. - Age 93 September 16, 1911 - April 19, 2005 Eugene was born in Harbin, China. He and his father immigrated to America arriving at Angel Island in April 1929. His mother, Helen and two sisters, Vera and Maria later followed to be reunited and reestablish their family living in San Francisco. In his marriage with Jane he had two children, Gene and Robert (deceased). In 1953 he married Olga residing in Hillsborough until her death in 1995 and his as of April 19. He will be dearly missed by his loving family, Gene and Vicki, his skiing and fishing buddy, a constant companion, grandson Jordan and a dear relationship he shared with two step grandsons, Nicholas and Scott Waterworth. In his later life he found and nurtured a beautiful union and bond with Zoya Bryner, his dearest friend and companion that he truly loved until the end of his life. He also leaves his niece Helen and her husband, George Robinson. While he outlived most his friends, his thoughts were with those he leaves behind. His life's work was in the garment industry. This was interrupted by the war when he worked in the shipyards in Washington and California. After World War II he formed, operated and managed Jane Andre, sophisticated dresses, with his partner Andre Dubbs until their retirement in 1981. He will be remembered for his determination, spirit of life and love for hunting and fishing. God bless, «Pop», rest in peace. Friends are invited to attend a Panaheda, Thursday 6:00 pm, Funeral service Friday 12:00 noon both at the Russian Church of All Saints, Burlingame followed by burial at the Serbian Cemetery, Colma.
