Volchok (Lebenzon) Sylvia (Helen)

The family of Sylvia Volchok celebrates her life and mourns her passing on August 15, 2016 at the age of 95. Sylvia was born December 25, 1920 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of Betty and Lou Lebenzon, who immigrated from Romania. Sylvia's passion was traveling the world with her beloved Zollie, reaching all continents except Antarctica. But, her favorite vacation was spending each August in Seaside, Oregon with the entire family. During her life she participated in numerous charitable endeavors, giving of her time and support; especially to Variety Club and volunteering with the Braille Institute, now the Talking Book & Braille Library. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years and leaves three sons; Gary, Michael (Martha) and Tony (Cindy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Sylvia is and will always be deeply loved by all. Who can forget her world famous chopped liver and komish broit? Donations may be made to Temple De Hirsch Sinai and the Kline Galland Center.
